VRMB Partners with PointCentral in 15-part Interview Series, Episode 1 Available on All Major Podcast Platforms
I have to be honest about something. I never used to listen to podcasts. But when I started training for triathlons and running and biking absurdly long and boring distances, I decided to give them a try to kill some time.
And in hindsight (now that I listen to them all the time) I would probably point to podcasts as my single biggest fountain of knowledge since: listening to podcasts in the car or walking through town or at the gym (unfortunately, I don’t do triathlons anymore) is like spending time with a world-class expert. It’s like sitting down for coffee with a brilliant mind.
This is why I started the 'Unlocked’ podcast in the first place: to have a presence in this new ecosystem of media, to spread knowledge from vacation rental pioneers, and to learn something new myself. But one of the things I learned is that podcasting, when done right, is tricky! I've got a whole new level of respect and admiration for those who have been doing it for some time (here's looking at you Heather). And in my testing process, I also pinpointed that my favorite podcasts were the ones in which the host was actually in the same room with the guests. Or even out and about in the world.
This is where my colleagues at PointCentral come in. I’d been hearing more and more about their role in the "property automation" field for some time and felt their leadership (when it comes to technology) belonged hand-in-hand with this style of education (not to mention the pre-existing name of the podcast seemed like a good omen for a company that sells smartlocks). I really like the idea of working with a company like PointCentral because we are all rowing in the same direction: towards a more connected and efficient vacation rental future.
And over the course of the last few months, our collaboration has resulted in 15 new episodes of Unlocked: each episode being short, insightful, and to the point. Episodes will begin releasing once per week. You can read the Press Release here.
The First Episode of the New Season
